IIFTian stands for IIFT International Alumni Network and is the alumni body of the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) that was set up in 1963 by the Government of India as an autonomous organisation to help professionalise the country's foreign trade management and increase exports by developing human resources; generating, analysing and disseminating data; and conducting research. Today it is one of India's most prestigious business schools.
IIFTian was formed in 2005 as a registered society of IIFT's alumni with the objective of reconnecting the alumni to their roots, their alma-mater - IIFT. This site is a yet another step in that direction and is intended to serve as a common interactive platform not only for the alumni but also for the student, faculty, aspirants and also the industry as a whole.
